Skilling Youth,
Transforming Communities
STEP (Skill Training, Employability and Placement) Academy is a unique learning institution dedicated to enhancing technical and life skills among rural youth, with a focus on creating access to dignified work.
STEP offers innovative skilling programs that equip youth with vocational skills in a relatively short time.
Over the years, STEP has trained thousands of rural youth, both men and women, significantly improving wages, business incomes and job security. Conceived and incubated by Aajeevika Bureau, a leading labor rights organization, STEP was specifically created to support youth at the threshold of entering the workforce and those engaged in low-wage, hazardous work in the informal economy.
